Impact Initiatives

Michael Prest through both his business ventures and personal initiatives has developed projects that are designed to empower marginalised groups and have a positive development impact.

Bank of Nevis International Ltd. (BONI)

Through his banking and migration investment ventures, Bank of Nevis International Ltd. (BONI) and Bank of Nevis International Trust Services Inc. (BONITS), Michael Prest has sought to develop new products tailored to the changing demands of a growing market of younger high net worth individuals (HNWIs).

In response to improved demand for wealth management products that value positive impact as much as delivering yield, BONI has begun developing a solar panel mortgage that will enable families and communities in small island states, such as St. Kitts & Nevis, and other developing nations around the world, access reliable and affordable power. In doing so, freeing up household income for parents to spend on their children’s education, improving life and wellbeing, and helping businesses to grow, amongst other benefits. More details on this initiative will be announced in due course.

BONITS is also supporting the development of St. Kitts & Nevis by developing and attracting investment to new sustainable and environmentally friendly residential and commercial real estate projects on the islands.

Through his investments, Michael Prest has always focussed on giving opportunity and empowering marginalised groups. In his executive roles across soft commodities and oil he made a point of always giving opportunities to young people in Africa and the Caribbean, and ensured senior positions in his businesses, often in male-dominated sectors, are representative. Currently, at BONI and BONITS, women occupy a majority of the senior leadership and managerial positions.
